Can we come to listen to you perform?

If the performance group you are interested in is performing in a public venue, yes. You can attend.
However, if it is a private engagement, permission will be required from the private party.


Can you act as the master of ceremonies?

This is available to you and will need to be discussed at the information meeting.


Can you design an itinerary for the night?

This is our specialty. We will sit with you at the information meeting and work out all details including the set list.


Can you play the songs that are important to us (a favorite pop hit)?

In most cases, yes. Whenever possible, we do whatever it takes to acomodate your special event.


Can you supply your master playlist in advance?

Our master list is online at www.jumpcity.rocks for Jump City. If not there, just ask. We usually can accomodate.


Do you have a specialty?

Jump City is primarily a 70's Classic Rock Cover Band. However, due to our level of professionalism, we can perform most genres of music.


Do I need liability insurance?

Most venues have existing Liability Insurance. It is good policy to double check with the venue before booking them.


Do you check the acoustic, power, and amplification requirements beforehand?

Absolutely! Whether a public venue or a private residence, all necessary requirements are verified.


Do you plan to use lighting or any other special effects?

Depending on the event and location.


Do you use pre-determined set lists?

Yes, in most cases our set lists are pre-established. However, should you require a specific list of tunes, we can accomodate most of that as well.


Does your band perform live or do you use tracks?

What makes Jump City a notch above the rest is the fact they perform Live. Having said that, depending on the tunes requested, if strings or synth parts are required, we may use tracks for those only (unless strings are hired as well).


How do you ensure a comfortable sound level for all the guests?

When possible, we perform a sound check to assure a comfortable level.


Do you take song requests during the performance?

If agreed upon in the contract and we can accomodate, yes, we can take requests. (note: with 10s of thousands of tunes, this may not always be possible).


How many hours are included in the package?

This varies from event to event and will be discussed at the information meeting.


Are there different options as far as how many musicians/instruments we can hire?

Jump City itself comes as a full band with horns, 10 members. However, depending on your requirements, we can accomodate pretty much any size or genre performance group.


How would you describe your style?

Generally it is 70's classic rock. However, we can play any genere you require.


What do you typically wear?

This is different depending on the particular show. (Again, it can be customized to your event).


What’s your cancellation policy?

In most cases, for a full refund, 3 months prior to event is required.


Who will do the setup?

Usually the band sets up the event. In some cases, when the event requires extensive setup, the event staff provides help, which is gladly accepted and appreciated.


Would we need to rent any instruments (a piano, for example) or equipment (extra speakers or a stage)?

If a piano is required, yes. But the musicians all have their own equipment including electronic keyboards, etc.


How much does the band cost and what does it include?

This varies greatly and requires an information meeting to discuss all the details.


Are you available on my wedding date?

Most weddings are reserved a year plus in advance of the date. However, whenever your date is scheduled whether early or late, once the contract is signed, and the deposit paid, your date is locked in.


What does the venue/outside vendors need to provide?

Usually a stage, lighting and sound. However, in the event this is not available, we can discuss alternatives.
Jump City has it's own sound system. If it is a larger venue and or audience, we may require additional sound equipment


How long will you play?

This varies from event to event.


Can we choose the set list?

Generally, yes. (Some limitations may apply)


How many years has the band been together

Jump City itself has been performaing since 2017, however, our family of musicians have known each other and performed together under different situations from live performing, to touring, to studio work, and musicals for many years.


Does the band need to be fed?

Feeding the band is a tradition. However, it is not mandatory for the performance. We DO include non-alcoholic beverages to be supplied to the band in the contract.


How much space do you need?

This varies event to event, the type of performance group and audience size. However, usually a medium Stage : 20ft x 24ft (480 sq ft) minimum to 24ft x 32ft (768 sq ft) maximum.
Our other performance groups may require more or less space.


How much time do you need for setup/breakdown?

This varies from event to event, but usually a couple hours. And if it is possible, we ask to setup early in the day so as not to disturb your guests.


What happens if a band member can’t perform the day of?

Life happens. However, we are always prepared for such situations. You are NOT hiring specific musicians. You ARE hiring the specific performance group. All our members are professional musicians. This means if one can't make it, they send a substitute that is as good or better than themselves.


Do you play continuously or do you take breaks

Depends on the event. However, usually 15 minute breaks are included in the itinerary.


What should I do to ensure a successful performance by the live band at my party?

Ask questions, then ask questions and lastly, more questions. Being prepared with a list of questions will prove vital to all involved in your special event. We will also have questions and suggestions, based on our own performance experience, to assure your event is successful and memorable.
